Complex and uncertain risk scenarios

Kevin is a Research Associate at the University of Alberta in the Department of Resource Economics and Environmental Sociology (REES).  He is researching the ways in which institutions are able to adapt to the challenges of complex and uncertain risk scenarios, including those related to food safety and environmental sustainability.  His background is in the social study of science and society, and previous research has investigated the relationships between expertise, publics and environmental governance.  Prior to joining the University of Alberta, Kevin was Lecturer in Science and Technology Policy at the University of Liverpool where he was active in researching experiments in risk governance in the United Kingdom.  He is currently cross-appointed with the University’s City-Region Studies Centre and is adjunct professor of Sociology.
